Softpencil Thursday

This week for softpencil I had the pleasure of working with "Japanese Girl". She is sooo cute! Please make sure you check out the rest of the DT this week because we were broken up into groups and some of the other ladies had different images to work with! They are all listed on my sidebar!
Our challenge this week was to work with our favorite color medium. Well....mine is of course my wonderful Copic markers that I am still trying to figure out how to use properly! I did try the "black" hair technique tonight for this image though. Not great but I'm trying!
I thought I was going to have a hard time using this image but you know...once I found the fitting paper to use it came together pretty easily.

Here is my take on going green!
I have had this image for a long time and haven't had a good reason to use it but low and behold....we had the perfect challenge! I honestly don't know where this digi image came from but if I had to take a guess....I think it's Whimsy Doodle. It was a freebie and I love freebies!
I had a lot of fun with this challenge and love how my image came out. I don't say that much so I must really be impressed with myself today!

Softpencil Thursday

This week for Softpencil our challenge was anything BUT a card. I decided to make this little purse box and add these cutie little critters to it. These are from softpencil and they are called Bichitos...they are super cute little critters and I actually only used 4 out of the 8 that you get if you purchase this set.
The purse was super easy to put together. I printed the template right on to my DP, cut it out, folded it, added my tape and there you have it. I punched out the circle with my SU! circle punch and then used my SU! scallop circle punch to make the brown around it.
I'm getting ready for a little vaca to Paris this weekend so I want to get everything in order before I leave! I promise to share some pictures when we get back!

Crafty Critter Challenge #19

I'm a day late on my card this challenge but it's up and ready to go! This time around our challenge was hosted by Kelly! The details of the challenge was to make a card for Valentines but to NOT use the traditional colors...pink or red. The card needed to be at least two layers and it needed two different embellishments!
I thought of a guy when deciding what papers to use...I just love the black and white pin striped DP!
As you can see I used another Stamping Bella image...I have been using them quite a bit again lately!

Softpencil Thursday~Be Mine

It's that time of week...softpencil time of week that is!!! How do you like Michu this week? This image is called Be Mine and as always can be found at the softpencil store....click the link on my sidebar to purchase this image just in time for Valentines day! Our challenge this week was to do a spring card. What a GREAT card! If you look on SCS under tutorials you will find the info for this card. I love to do different kinds of cards but hate having to do a million measurments and cuts....but with this....just one piece of paper and a few folds...that was it!
Side View of card....as you can see (since you can't tell from the front view) I doubled up on some pop dots to give it some dimension.
I also found in my stash these great prima flowers....I totally forgot I had Valentine themed primas...perfect fit!

Bella Sketch Swap

I was in a Bella Sketch Swap with my gal-pal Mnewby and I took three spots. I totally didn't read my own directions right and forgot to add ribbon to the first set of cards but I used my Martha Stewart Lace punch and that kind of looks like ribbon right???? I know Melanie...I know....I never read the directions....I just have a tendancy to browse the info instead of reading it fully.
Anyway...this is Showerbugg from Stamping Bella. I used copics to color, MS lace punch, SU! cardstock, stickles on the wings, SU! ink and some eyelets...I hadn't been using eyelets much and now that I got my big bite II it has made my life much easier and I have been using my eyelets again.


This cutie is your#1abella...I just love her and she also of course is from Stamping Bella. I colored with copics, used stickles on the number 1 used SU! ribbon and used dots from Stamping Bella...I LOVE LOVE LOVE those dots! SU! cardstock.

And I think this is my favorite of the three...snowbunnyabella from Stamping Bella. It took me a while to find the right combinations of colors...it seemed to take me a while to figure out all the color combos for these cards for some reason. But she is toooo cute...I used some random ribbon, the saying is from SU!, copics to color, spica markers which you can't even tell in the picture to give some sparkle and that's about it!

CCC#18

Our blog group had another challenge....a great one at  that...in honor of the guys watching football on Sunday we were to make a boy card. We were not allowed to use any bling and we had two use two other challenges. I decided to use a Dustin Pike digi image that I have had for a while now....dragon firefighter...isn't he so cute. So this image is new so it would qualify for the ABC Challenge....use something new also I used a card sketch from Sweet Sketches Wednesday it was a great sketch...I did not do it justice!

Softpencil Thursday~Two cute Musicians

I'm running a tad late this week with my softpencil post. But here it is....two cute musicians!
I finished my card and posted and the realized that we had a challenge to do with this post....crap...BUT...I think I got it handled...the challenge was 1 of this, 2 of that, and 3 of those...awesome challenge right? I thought so! (1) ribbon  (2) layers  (3) stars! I think I got it covered!! I also used a sketch today from Unscripted Sketches #40
