9/11 Blog Hop

Do you remember where you were when you heard about the towers? I do...I was in Guam. It was the middle of the night and my husband wakes me up to look at the TV and I was still half asleep not really understanding what was happening...very quickly it all became very real.
Being a military wife I am very proud to be an American and very proud of what my husband does for his country on a daily basis. I am honored to be part of this blog hop and I hope that you will continue to go through all the girls projects today and remember those that we have lost, those that are currently fighting, and those that have fought in the past.

The Stamping Boutique

The Stamping Boutique is doing a joint hop with OWH...please be sure to hop over there and check out their site, they do a lot of good and bring smiles to many many military members with all the fabulous donated cards that they sent to the troops. For some troops, unfortunetly, this is the only mail the may receive while being deployed fighting for your freedom!

Lovely card, and I also remember the day. I am not American, but 9/11 affected everyone, and we all need to take a moment to remember.

I love your card! Thank you for sharing your story and remembering. I am a military daughter who was directly affected 9/11 well I guess we all were in some way but my daddy was in the pentagon that day. After many hours of no word from no one we finally got a call from him saying that he was OK thankfully but there were many tear filled hours of the unknown. I am so proud of my daddy for that he did for our country as he is retired now. I thank every soldier that I see for their work and sacrifices so thank your husband for me! And thank you I know that wives sacrifice a lot too because my dad missed a lot of my childhood fighting for our freedom! Families do not get thanked enough so thank you :)

Beautiful card April, great salute to 9/11. I was in the mountains in Townsend, TN, frantically trying to find out if my SIL was okay - he was stationed at the Pentagon.
Hugs, Marsha

Chills up my spine April ... I too was with you on that very same island ... I was up talking to my friends and family on the computer when my friend Charlotte said OMG Kelly, the World Trade Center was just hit by a plane ... then the phone rang and it was Steven calling from the station saying we were all on lock down ... and told me what was happening ... Destiny came over and we camped out on the livingroom floor and watched the news all night ... I hated that feeling ... not being able to be with my family back home ... I still have the red, white, and blue ribbons I tied in my car that day tied in the car I drive now ...

beautiful card April ...

Awesome card...

Even though I'm Canadian, I still remember that morning... waking up, getting on the computer to read the news.. I didn't have television at the time, but I knew when I read the news that I had to see it on the TV... I raced over to my best friend's house and commandeered her television. It is still so surreal.

It is something that totally changed the entire world.

Thanks for all you do for your country and the freedom of others as well.
