Page layouts

I'm doing a rainbow swap with Mnewby and I did blue, purple and white for my pages. I don't think I took pictures of the blue but here are the white and purple pages.

This is the cricut flower I made....I used silver as my accent color for the white pages. The little dots are from Stamping Bella.

I used an SU! stamp set to do the background Wings of Friendship, used some DP from one of my DCWV packes, and I tried a new technique with the two other pieces of paper. I inked my cuttlebug embossing folder and then ran it through...not sure how much I'm liking it....I think I should have inked up the other side...I don't know.
The other page I just used some ribbon down the side, made a little bow time thing at the bottom and added a brad. Pretty simple.

I used different shades of purple, some prima flowers, I used an SU! stamp for the corners of the paper and then went over it again with my copic glitter pens and added stickles.

Again, more primas, I stamped a background stamp and the used stickles....I always have to use some stickles!!!

Thinking of you

I made this card for my mother-in-law. I always feel bad because she doesn't have computer access like most of our family does and I kind of leave her out on pictures and updates and stuff so I sat down and made her a card, sent her a camera full of pictures, and wrote her a letter.
I used a Whiff Of Joy stamp I got when I was at the stamp convention. I love angels and I thought he was adorable.
Of course he's colored with copics and his wings are filled in with stickles for glitter. I used two brads from SU!
The paper is SU! except the DP which is from one of my DCWV stack packs. I also used some prima flowers and some Martha Stewart ribbon.

Crafty Critter Blog group Challenge 10...Ildi Co. day!

Okay, I think I got it right today! This is my challenge card for our blog group. Also since today is my Ildi day I decided to use one of their images. This is cuddles leaves. He/she is pretty darn cute huh!

Here were the rules for our challenge:

1. Use card sketch #246 from SCS.
2. Use the color purple.
3. Make it Fall themed.
4. Use at least 1 embellishment.

It's a fall theme...check...it's the right sketch...check....it has purple in it....check....and at least one embellishment....check! Yes, got it right!

Cuddles was colored in with my copics and then for some sparkle...you know I love sparkle...I used some stickles on the rake and the leaves to highlight the colors of them.

I'm not sure where the DP comes from but it had purple in it so I thought it would make my life easier trying to incorporate that color. I used some brads that glitter and just some regular cardstock. Pretty simple!

CCBGC10

So we had a great challenge that Melanie put up for us for our blog group. Here were the rules of the challenge:

1. Use card sketch #246 from SCS.

2. Use the color purple.

3. Make it Fall themed.

4. Use at least 1 embellishment.

Crap...why don't I ever read directions fully! This card totally doesn't fill all the qualifications. Dang it, I guess I will have to work on something and post it tomorrow.

Anyway, this is a card I made using the sketch at least!

It was a card I made for my friend for her birthday. She's not much into pink...I know...I hang out with someone that DOESN'T like pink! So I used mostly blues and just a pinch of pink!!! I love the bella image You are #1.

For Ms. Bella I colored her in using my wonderful copics and I paper pieced the number 1. I thought that was a cute idea. I know...sometimes I have cute ideas...lol....and then I add some sparkly stickles and that was that!

Thanks for looking....I'll be back tomorrow with my "real" challenge card and it's also my Ildi day so I think I'll combine them both!!!

Ildi Monday.....Halloween Cuddles

Last night I worked on my card for Monday/today and here is what I came up with. I just love the cuddles halloween...he's so cute!
I used SU! in black for the background, then a piece from my DCWV for the DP...those dots are making me crazy....SU! orange and then I used an SU! stamp to stamp Happy Halloween, some eyelets, copics, stickles, and jewel embellishments.

Ildi Co.....scarecrow

Here is my card for the week. Ildi Co. has come out with a few new images for fall and Halloween so you can go over and take a look at them by clicking on their banner. They also have a new store up!

With this card, it's fairly simple, SU! paper, gold leaves on the background stamped with brilliance gold ink, the stamp for SU!, the scarecrow images from Ildi and just some ribbon and a Martha Stewart dot. Easy enough.

Digital Delights DT Call

So, I'm trying out for yet another DT call. I have become totally addicted to digital images! This is from Digital Delights and I just love their designs. This is actually one of the freebie images that they give away each Friday.....we know we all love those freebies!!!!

For this card I used the pumpkin cuttlebut embossing folder, SU! cardstock, stickles, SU! ribbon, copics, buttons, and SU! stamps. I am quite happy with the turnout of this card...I just need to figure out how to take better pictures. It's driving me nuts that my pictures aren't coming out better.

Wish me luck!

Ildi Co. Monday~Clownkins

It's that time of the week...the beginning of the week I guess! Here is another clownkins card from the Ildi Co. I used SU! colors for the paper, SU! set for the stamp, and I'm not sure where the pattern paper comes from but I thought it would suit the image! And of course copics and a bit of stickles..oh, and two glittery brads.

Sorry this is short and sweet but it was a long weekend and I have tons to do today.

I'm back....Ildi Co. Monday (oops...it's Wednesday)

Wow...two posts in one day...go April go April! I am sorry to the Ildi ladies because my card needed to be up on Monday...Mondays are my day but we were gone on our last little vacation of the summer to Legoland so I missed my day. But anyway....here it is!
Super cute cuddles presents...is he not adorable? All the images I put on here can be bought at the Etsy store and the like is on my sidebar.
I used SU! colors, and a DP from my DCWV book and of course cuddles digi image with a cute little jewel brad and the saying is from SU! also. And I must not forget I colored with my copics...I know they were expensive but I'm soooooo glad I invested in them.

8x8 Stamp it out swap!

Mnewby~Melanie hosted a great swap for 8x8 pages using stamped images from your stamp sets. I tend to NOT stamp so much on my pages so I thought this was a great way to add a bit of stamping. I did a pirate theme and Halloween theme.
My pirate theme was going to be for a boy but then when I started I really wanted to change it up to a girl theme. I just love this saying. It came with a chipboard pack and I didn't have enough of them so I just printed them out on the computer.
The stamps I used were from SU! for the ship...isn't she cute hightlighted in pink stickles...and on the other page the skull design is from...ugh...I can't remember. But a clear stamp set.
And my Halloween theme. I used SU! sets for both images. I love the little pot and the tag I made with the spider and of course stickles on each page somewhere! I also finally used my decorative stapler that I've had forever. I did black and white staples on the corners where the pot is.

Ildi Monday

Wow, it's Monday. Today seemed like a hard day for me to get organized and "together" so-to-speak. But today is Ildi Monday so here is a new card. This is from their new line of digi images the clownkins. This one is clownkins school girl. Super cute. I think she might be my favorite image.

I used silver cardstock and a thick shimmery silver cardstock, a pattered DP, primas, brads, and my copics to color along with a bit of stickles. And since today is also my first day back in classes I thought it would be appropriate to dedicate this card to all those that have been supporting me through this journey of college at 30!
Have a great week.

Border sets

Can I just say I'm totally frustrated with not being able to move my pictures around like I want to. GRRRRRR.....
Anyway, this is the other border set I did for Mnewbys seasons border swap (I wrote this all below).
The season was summer and I wanted to do a fourth of July set. It came out a bit Americana but I like it. I am a bit country with my decor so I'm glad it took this turn.
This is one of the accent pieces, the stamp is from American Stamp Art. And I just layered the image and used some sheer red ribbon in the corner and a red button.

And here is the whole set. Simple but pretty.

I am in a swap for Mnewby for season borders. You needed to make two borders, one journal box, one picture frame, and two accent pieces. This set I am in love with and honestly wanted to just keep them for myself!! The top border I cut out the letters with the cricut I think I used Storybook it's been my favorite lately. I had this great snow DP from SU! and I also used the glitter paper I had.

I love these accent pieces. I stamped with silver an SU! stamp then used stickles for the blue and used a pearl bauble for the middle.

And here is the whole set. The other accent piece I just used my SU! tag punches and the silver ribbon is also SU! I used my SU! stamps on the journal box and more SU! ribbon across the top and for the frame I used Martha Stewart corner punch.

And of course it wouldn't be snow and it wouldn't be from me if everything didn't glitter!!!

Cuddles Monday

Yes, you have seen right.....Ildi Co. is having their first blog hop on the 29th Saturday and it would be great to see all my fellow bloggers take advantage of this and hop around to the design teams blogs until you hit the store and have a chance at winning some blog candy.

Their new relase is also coming up and I have a sneak peek for you:

Sorry, that's all I can show you for now but if you come back to see me during the blog hop you can see the whole image. Let's just say they aren't clowning around in the month of September! I'm super excited about some of these new release images!
Have a great day everyone!

Cuddles Monday!!!

Today is my Cuddles day as part of the Cuddles Ildi DT so here is my card today. I had not been very happy with my coloring lately...I had been feeling I had been getting worse instead of better (and I spent way too much money on my copics to get worse!!!) but todays card I think came out pretty good. I still can't seem to figure out the shading and dimension and all that but I'm happy today!
So this is Cuddles-Kuma forest thinking...is he not adorable? I think so! The paper is from SU! and the black paper (which is velvet) is from DCWV. I used ribbon from SU! and two jeweled embellishements. The saying is also from SU! I've had this set for a while and finally thought of the perfect card to attach it to!
Enjoy and have a great week everyone!

Another Digi Image!

Yes, I am on fire this week. I guess it's the fact that summer is finally winding down here. Yes, in Germany the summer is over around this time. I know, where I'm from this is the hottest month of the summer.
Well....I think I'm officially addicted to digi images. I found this great little blog/store called doodle palace and they have some of the cutest images. So this one is FREE...so pop on over and get it (and take a look at their store too), please bare with me, I'm still trying to figure out how to adjust the size and make them come out right so I think he's a bit big but that's okay!
I am trying out for their design team...again, I'm addicted....so this is my submission card. Wish me luck!
I used SU! new In Colors for the cardstock, colored the owl in with copics, and the little hello is from an SU! set and I also used two SU! punches. The ribbon is from Martha Stewart and the buttons...are from my own personal collection of buttons off of clothes (I'll take anything I can get my hands on!! LOL!)

My very first Digi image!

Yes, that's right, this was my first usage of a digital image. This is from the new line from Ildi Company------> link on my sidebar! This little bears name is Cuddles Picnic. You can get this image for free by emailing them and they will send you the image!
The saying is from SU!, along with the cardstock. The DP I don't know where it came from...I got a bundle of paper as a gift but I just love it! Then of course I added stickles in a few places and colored Cuddles in with my copics.

Please take a peak at the Ildi store, I'm sure you can find something you like! They are a new and upcoming online store and I am designing for them so you will see lots of plugs for them on here. Speaking of plugs:
A super deal is going on right now: buy all 10 images in the Cuddle set for just 20.00...that is a 6.50 savings! If you want this deal you will need to once again go into their store and contact them directly and ask for this wonderful savings!

Boys Border Set

Here is the boy set that goes along with the girls set I already showed. It ended up being a pirate theme. It was intended to be that but once I got started I went in this direction.

Above are the two accent pieces. I used stickles on the treasure chest and then colored everything in with copics. Then I used Calander Chicks pirate stamp for the other accent piece and added an SU! brad.

Here is the whole set. I used this awesome shimmery black and silver paper I found at the craft store on base (the picture doesn't do it justice), I also got the blocked DP at the craf store also. So there are two photo mates, one journaling box, two borders and the two accent pieces.

Border set for swap

I am really enjoying doing these now that I have done a few and kind of got the hang of what is needed/wanted/expected! Here is a set I just finished today for mysweetstix swap. It's for the girls catagory.
This tag was made with one of the huggabugs from Stamping Bella I think it's called Java huggabugs. I just love these little bugs. The other little piece that is hard to see says "friendship is a work of heart". I thought it went well with this set since it's for girls, the little bugs and since I used the heart corner adorner on the photo boxes and journaling box. Also of course I used primas, ribbon and stickles.

Altered Tin

I don't have anything recent to share because I haven't done anything recently so I had to dig into some old pictures and find something that I hadn't posted on here yet!
This is an altered tin that I did last year for one of my SS's. It was the first one I made but I love it. I wanted to keep it for myself actually! This project is actually pretty easy to do.

Cologne Germany

I have to apologize for not keeping up lately. It's summer here in Germany...yes, I said it's summer here in Germany. We don't normally get much of a summer so when we do have good weather we try to take advantage of it. I don't have a single crafty thing to share...I have been terribly lazy in that department and have been missing my work area.

But, here are some pictures of a trip we took to Cologne Germany.
Jodus climbing to get a better look at the Zoo
Family picture in the Zoo. That doesn't happen often.
We got totally lost in Cologne. My husbands great idea to walk
to the Chocolate meusum instead of drive (with the GPS)
Jodus at the front door of the Dom.
Me, Leila and Jodus on the skyline ride
The chocolate meuseum. I wasn't very impressed but the
chocolate was still good.
The fresh chocolate mmmmmmmmmm.
Leila had a LONG day!

Another Alter in the Dom.
